DRUM LESSONS IN PENRITH - WESTERN SYDNEY DRUM LESSONS
Andrew Hewitt, dubbed as "Australia's most inspirational drummer", is a world renowned drummer, drum kit educator, drum circle and percussion workshop facilitator, radio/podcast presenter, motivational speaker and disability advocate.
He was born with Cerebral Palsy, which restricts movement in his arms and legs, which forces him to use a wheelchair. This has made drumming a very serious challenge. Despite this, Andrew has been working successfully all over Australia, and internationally for over 30 years.
Andrew is an Australian facilitator for The Rhythmic Arts Project, an educational program using hand drums and percussion, which was founded in 1997 by Eddie Tuduri in Santa Barbara, California.
He is also a founding board member of Can-Do Musos, a global voice which has been setup to support artists with challenges from all over the world which was established at a meeting at Dom Famularo's Wizdom Drumshed in Port Jefferson, New York on the 15th March 2013.
Over the years, Andrew has appeared in many drumming magazines across the globe including Modern Drummer (USA), Drum! (USA), Drumhead (USA), The Black Page (Canada), Rhythm (UK), Drums & Percusson (Germany) and Australia's Drumscene magazine.
In 2015, Andrew was named #1 in the The Eight Most Remarkable & Inspirational Musicians in the World by music magazine RAWRAMP from the UK.
Andrew has toured nationally across Australia and internationally performing at events in the USA and Germany. Andrew was recently involved in a COVID lockdown recording collaboration with Can-Do Musos and ArtWeCan, a disability arts organisation in South Korea.

In June 2023, Andrew was part of the "My Kind of Independence" campaign for Mable Disability Support Australia. There were 2 commercials featuring Andrew playing drums.
From the producer: "You were awesome, we are all very impressed you kept a steady BMP with your drumming and it made our work doing the music composition much easier!"
From disabilitysupportguide.com.au In the 30-second video, one support worker says of Mable, it's about "choosing a client who rocks". At the same time, renowned Australian drummer and educator Andrew Hewitt, also born with cerebral palsy, absolutely shreds it on the drums.
