  • Learning Experience Design

Transform content into effective and impactful e-learning that meets organisational goals, target audience needs, and lead to tangible results.

    Learning Experience and Instructional Design

Effective instructional design is crucial in e-learning because it helps ensure that the online learning experience is engaging, impactful, and effective.

It can help learners stay engaged and motivated throughout the course, which is particularly important when the learning takes place remotely. Well-designed e-learning materials can also help learners retain information more effectively and apply what they have learned in real-world situations.

It will also help ensure that e-learning courses are accessible to a wide range of learners, including those with different learning styles and abilities. By incorporating multiple modalities, such as videos, interactive quizzes, and simulations, instructional designers can create e-learning experiences that cater to different learning preferences.

I have extensive experience working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to turn content into effective e-learning.

  • Storyboarding and Scripting

I can help visualise the overall learning approach and user journey through an e-learning module, game or animation.

    Storyboarding and Scripting

Storyboarding is an essential tool in my e-learning skillset.

Storyboarding is an important step in the instructional design process. A storyboard is a visual representation of the content and structure of an e-learning course, which helps plan and organize the course content.

It is important in e-learning for several reasons:

It helps to visualize the course: Storyboarding enables us to visualize the course content and how it will be presented to the learner. By creating a visual representation of the course, the designer can ensure that the content is organized in a logical and effective way, which can improve the learning experience for the learner.

It helps to identify potential issues: Storyboarding allows us to identify potential issues with the course content before it is developed. For example, they may identify content that is too complex or difficult to understand, or areas where learners may need additional support.

It saves time and money: Storyboarding can help to streamline the development process by identifying potential issues early on, which can save time and money in the long run. By making revisions to the storyboard before development begins, instructional designers can avoid costly changes later in the process.

It facilitates collaboration: Storyboarding is a collaborative process that involves the instructional designer, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. By working together to create the storyboard, the team can ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the course content meets the needs of all stakeholders.

  • UI, UX and Graphic Design

I can help you create a branded visual approach that is both intuitive and visually engaging.

    UI, UX and Graphic Design

I have over 15 years experience designing e-learing courses. A well designed course can elevate your e-learning and help it stand out.

Good UI (User Interface) Design, UX (User Experience), and Graphic Design are all important aspects of the e-learning development process. Here are some reasons why:

Enhance the overall learning experience: The user interface and user experience play a significant role in making the e-learning course more engaging and effective. An intuitive and visually appealing user interface can help learners navigate the course easily and keep them motivated throughout the learning process.

Improve comprehension and retention: A well-designed e-learning course can help learners better understand and retain information. Clear graphics and well-designed layouts can help learners process information more effectively.

Increase engagement and motivation: A visually appealing e-learning course with good UI and UX design can increase learner engagement and motivation, which can lead to improved learning outcomes. Well-designed graphic elements can help to break up the monotony of text-based content and make the learning experience more interesting.

Ensure accessibility: Good UI, UX, and graphic design can also help to ensure that the e-learning course is accessible to learners with different abilities. For example, designers can use high contrast colors, appropriate font sizes, and alternative text for images to ensure that learners with visual impairments can access the course content.

Reflect the brand and credibility of the organization: The graphic design of an e-learning course can also reflect the brand and credibility of the organization that is providing the course. A visually appealing and professional-looking course can enhance the credibility of the organization and increase the perceived value of the course.

  • E-Learning Authoring

Turn effective and engaging content into an interactive accessible e-learning module with Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Adapt, GOMO or HTML and CSS.

    E-Learning Authoring

I have over 15 years experience authoring e-learning using a variety of tools including Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Adapt, GOMO and HTML and CSS.

Good e-learning authoring is essential for several reasons:

Customization: Good e-learning authoring tools offer a wide range of customization options, enabling instructional designers and developers to tailor the e-learning content to the specific needs of their learners. Customization options may include the ability to create custom templates, modify existing templates, and add multimedia elements such as videos, images, and audio.

Interactivity: Good e-learning authoring tools offer a variety of interactive features such as quizzes, simulations, and gamification elements that can increase learner engagement and motivation. Interactive content can help learners apply what they have learned and retain information more effectively.

Accessibility: Good e-learning authoring tools can help ensure that e-learning content is accessible to learners with different abilities. For example, authoring tools may offer features such as closed captions, alternative text for images, and high-contrast color options.

Standardization: Good e-learning authoring tools can help ensure that e-learning content meets industry standards for e-learning development, such as SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) or xAPI (Experience API). This can help ensure that e-learning content is compatible with different learning management systems (LMSs) and can be easily shared and reused.

Efficiency: Good e-learning authoring tools can help instructional designers and developers work more efficiently by providing features such as pre-built templates, reusable components, and automation tools. This can help reduce development time and costs, while also ensuring consistent quality across different e-learning projects.

Overall, good e-learning authoring is essential because it enables instructional designers and developers to create engaging, effective, and accessible e-learning content that meets the specific needs of their learners while also adhering to industry standards for e-learning development.

  • Animation and 3D development

Add engagement and elevate your learning with 3D characters and vibrant impactful animations.

    Animation and 3D development

Adding animation and 3D characters to e-learning can provide several benefits, including:

Increased engagement: Animation and 3D characters can help make e-learning content more engaging and interesting for learners. Animated characters can be used to illustrate key concepts, provide examples, and demonstrate processes in a visually appealing way that can capture learners' attention.

Improved retention: Animation and 3D characters can help learners better understand and retain information. Animated characters can be used to explain complex concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand way, making the learning experience more effective.

Personalization: 3D characters can be customized to match the target audience, which can help create a sense of familiarity and connection. For example, characters can be designed to reflect the cultural or ethnic diversity of the learners.

Better feedback: Animations can be used to provide immediate feedback to learners, which can help reinforce learning and improve retention. For example, an animated character can be used to congratulate a learner on a correct answer or provide guidance on how to correct an incorrect answer.

Enhanced interactivity: Animation and 3D characters can be used to create interactive scenarios that simulate real-life situations, enabling learners to practice applying what they have learned in a safe and controlled environment.
